Privacy notice

This notice explains how Buzzqube handles information when you use Interview Intelligence™. We’ve kept it as straightforward as possible.

The short version

Your interview data is designed to be temporary.

Interview transcripts and associated candidate information are processed securely to create your Interview Intelligence™ report. Buzzqube does not store this information in its application database, files or application logs.

Generated reports are held locally in the browser that created them and expire after 24 hours. Your account information is stored securely and backed up.

What we hold, and where

Your account

Your email address, display name, organisation, role and sign-in history are stored in our database, hosted by Supabase in the United Kingdom. This information is backed up so that we can provide and administer your account.

Interview transcripts and candidate data

The information you provide to generate a report, which may include interview transcripts, job descriptions, candidate names and panel notes, is processed for the purpose of creating your Interview Intelligence™ report.

Buzzqube does not save this information to its application database, files or application logs.

Generated reports

Generated reports are stored locally in the browser used to create them and are not stored in the Interview Intelligence™ database.

Reports expire 24 hours after they are created, and signing out clears them immediately. If you want to retain a report, you should print or save it before it expires.

Because this information is held locally in your browser, expired data may remain on your device until you next open Interview Intelligence™, at which point it is removed.

Because reports are not written to our database, they are not included in our database backups and cannot be recovered by Buzzqube.

Usage and cost information

We retain limited technical information about report generation to operate and monitor the service. This includes information such as processing usage, cost and the account that requested the report.

These records do not contain the candidate’s name, job title, interview transcript or generated report.

Our technology providers

Interview Intelligence™ uses carefully selected third-party technology providers to operate the service, including infrastructure, authentication and AI processing services.

Where necessary to generate an Interview Intelligence™ report, information you submit is securely processed using an AI technology provider selected by Buzzqube. Users do not select or interact directly with the underlying AI provider.

Our technology providers include:

• Supabase (database and authentication)
• Vercel (application hosting)
• Anthropic (AI processing)
• OpenAI (AI processing)*
• Google (AI processing)*

*OpenAI and Google may be used as alternative AI processing providers as the service develops. Buzzqube determines which provider is used.

These providers process information in accordance with their applicable contractual and data-protection arrangements. AI providers may retain limited API data for security, abuse monitoring, legal or service-operation purposes in accordance with their own retention arrangements.

Candidate interview data submitted through Interview Intelligence™ is not used to train the AI providers’ general AI models.

We keep our technology providers and their data-handling arrangements under review and will update this notice if they change.

About candidates

Interview information is personal data about the candidate, who will not normally be the Buzzqube customer.

If you use Interview Intelligence™, your organisation remains responsible for ensuring that it has an appropriate lawful basis for processing candidate information and for providing candidates with appropriate information about how their data is used, including the use of AI-assisted technology within the recruitment process.

Interview Intelligence™ is designed to support human decision-making. It does not make an automated hiring decision. Recruitment decisions remain with the hiring organisation and its people.

Your rights

You may have rights in relation to personal information Buzzqube holds about you, including rights of access, correction and deletion, depending on the circumstances.

You can delete your Interview Intelligence™ account and profile. Certain limited records may need to be retained where required for legitimate administrative, accounting, security or legal purposes.

Buzzqube cannot retrieve candidate interview content or generated reports from its application database because we do not store them there.
